Pure Water Reach and Wash System

Frequently asked questions

What is it?

It is a window cleaning method using telescopic poles with a soft brush head and 100% purified water to clean glass safely and effectively from the ground. The pure water is pushed up through the pole to the brush head, which agitates the dirt and grime on the glass surface. We then rinse the window and allow it to dry for gleaming glass!

What is purified water?

It is water that has passed through a multi-stage filtration system (reverse osmosis/deionization) to remove minerals like calcium, magnesium, and chlorine. The mineral-free water acts as a strong cleaning agent, removing grime and leaving a streak-free, spot-free, and eco-friendly finish.

What are the benefits?

Safety: It allows us to reduce ladder usage while still being able to reach awkward, high windows without the risk of falls.

Efficient: It is faster than traditional methods, cleans the entire window (Frames etc.) thoroughly, and it keeps windows cleaner for longer by leaving no soapy residue to attract dirt.

Privacy: As using the pole means that we stand further back from the window and don't go near upstairs windows, your privacy is protected.

Eco-friendly: Removes the need for chemical detergents and protects flowerbeds and plants from being trampled and walked over to get to the window.

When I get tap water on my window it leaves white spots as it dries. Do I need to wipe the water off the glass once you've cleaned it?

Tap water is full of dissolved minerals, like calcium and magnesium, that deposit as cloudy, stubborn, white spots as the water evaporates (Commonly known as limescale)

Since we only use purified water that has had all these minerals removed there will be no residue on your windows as it dries. Please allow the water to dry naturally. Trying to remove or wipe away the water yourself will simply create streaks and ruin the effect.

How do you know your water is pure?

We check our water regularly using a TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) meter. This measures the concentration of dissolved inorganic salts and minerals in water, expressed in parts per million (ppm) Tap water in Norfolk is typically around 450ppm. We make sure our pure water is at 0.

To achieve this we regularly change filters and resin to keep our water perfectly purified.

Does it work on all windows?

Pure water cleaning is suitable for all types of windows: PVC, Aluminium, Wood, Painted, etc.

However, some windows are not suitable. Very old, cracked or peeling windows would not come up well using this method. In this case we would adjust to each window using traditional methods instead. You can trust us to know what would be best for your windows!
